564 Pelvic Fracture Incidence in EU15+ Countries: Trends Over a 30-Year Period

Abstract Aim Pelvic fractures (PF) are relatively uncommon but significant injuries accounting for approximately 3% of all skeletal injuries. We aimed to assess the burden PFs across high health expenditure countries by describing trends in PF incidence rates over last three decades. Method Using Global Burden Disease (GBD) Study database, we extracted sex specific age-standardised (ASIRs) from 1990-2019 each 19 European Union (EU) 15+ countries. performed Joinpoint regression analysis further characterise trends. Results Over 30-year period study, 89% experienced a decline ASIRs males, with median percentage change -11.8%, comparison females where 53% an increase ASIR (median +3.1%). For females, largest increases were observed Netherlands and Belgium; these also only two counties increased overall males study observed.
